Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS)
Pre-ETS are provided to students with disabilities who have been determined eligible or are potentially eligible for services. Services improve the transition of students from school to postsecondary education and/or an employment outcome. Pre-ETS includes counseling on post-secondary opportunities, job exploration counseling, instruction on self-advocacy, work-based learning, and workplace readiness training.
Summer Youth Program
Summer Youth Programs are intended to promote a student’s transition from high school to post-secondary education, vocational training, or integrated employment. Services may include evaluation of the consumer’s vocational needs, instruction on vocational topics such as interviewing skills, work behaviors, basic job-readiness skills, and independent living skills, as well as integrated, community-based work experiences. Staff work with students to learn job tasks and skills needed in the workplace. Students are paid Ohio minimum wage for work time.
